At Shawnee Stems, we’re proud to share The Flower Barn — a one-of-a-kind oak timber frame barn and pavilion, crafted as a tribute to the way barns were once built in southern Illinois. With exposed oak beams, shiplap walls, and authentic board-and-batten siding, it’s a timeless structure that will impress your guests and create unforgettable photo opportunities.
Ceremony Pavilion
Our open-air pavilion features iron scrollwork doors and solid oak beams. Fourteen-foot side doors can be opened to bring the outdoors in or kept closed for a more intimate setting — no tent rental required. In worst case scenarios your “backup plan” is simply saying “I do” inside the stunning timber frame barn itself.
Outdoor Options
Dreaming of a ceremony surrounded by blooms? Our wildflower fields offer several romantic spots to exchange vows with nature as your backdrop. These are seasonal and our flower fields rotate each year. Our peony field is always in the same location.

The property is private and serene, surrounded by rolling timbered hills, ponds, seasonal wildflowers, and breathtaking sunsets. No highways, no neighbors’ backyards — just the beauty of southern Illinois.
